year one done

Sure when you're in the midst of it it’s sometimes hard to take a step back and laugh. That time we couldn’t open the padlock on a Sunday morning over Halloween and the owner was scaling a bin to jump the gate and get an angle grinder to get us open for service. All the ubers bringing equipment back and forth early in the mornings (most of them complaining about how much equipment we were moving), our last service when it snowed literally all day, juggling catering events on top of a busy brunch service, trying to get through it and appreciate every moment and not let the stress and lack of sleep get to us.

It’s been a year...a challenging, fun, exciting year.

We have so much love and appreciation for everyone who has helped and supported us through this all so far - our friends for coming in to eat with us when we thought we wouldn’t have a single customer, the owners of our popup spaces for giving us a chance to build a following from nothing, our families for encouraging us to take on this crazy project which disrupted both of our lives and theirs, and every single person who walked through the door to come for brunch, thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you, we wouldn’t have kept going if it weren’t for you.

We are so happy to be back and we are currently searching for a permanent space to open a home of our own, to build our little community and expand our offering.

Hopefully we'll have updates on that for you very soon!
